Your new role
The IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for ensuring stable, secure, and scalable IT operations across the Central and Eastern Europe region (CZ, SK, HU, PL). This senior individual contributor role focuses on maintaining and developing core infrastructure, supporting end users, and delivering high‑quality documentation and service - without direct managerial duties.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain, optimize, and enhance the existing LAN/WAN environment (Cisco, Meraki), with a focus on performance and future readiness.
- Administer both on‑premises and Azure Active Directory, manage SharePoint storage, and support end‑user devices across Windows, Apple, and Android platforms.
- Oversee and support network infrastructure in retail locations, including Meraki firewalls, access points, switches, printers, CCTV, POS systems (from a network perspective), and related equipment.
- Provide 2nd‑level support across the CEE region, ensuring high user satisfaction and service excellence.
- Serve as a senior technical expert within the team, offering guidance and knowledge sharing to junior colleagues.
- Produce and maintain structured, detailed technical documentation such as system architecture diagrams, configuration records, SOPs, and user guides.
- Collaborate with international IT teams and local departments to align infrastructure standards and long‑term roadmaps.
- Assess and recommend new technologies that enhance scalability, security, or operational efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Professional certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft, ITIL) are highly advantageous
- At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support or engineering
- Strong hands‑on background in Service Desk or end‑user support roles is essential
- Experience in retail IT environments is a plus
- Networking: Cisco Meraki; optionally Cisco Catalyst and Palo Alto
- Directory Services: Active Directory (on‑prem) and Azure AD
- Devices: Windows desktops/laptops, Apple and Android mobile devices
- Collaboration Tools: SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365
- High empathy and responsiveness toward user needs
- Strong prioritization and incident‑triage abilities
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Analytical, structured, and solution‑oriented mindset
- Supportive, mentoring approach toward junior team members
